The summit is a two-day virtual event utilizing the zoom platform. Each day will run from 8:00am - 12:20pm PDT. We endeavour to provide post-summit recordings with closed captioning for all content; however we will not be able to provide it live except by special request. If you require closed captioning, please email Morag (morag@climatecaucus.ca) by Tuesday, August 4th to request.
We acknowledge that the event takes place on unceded and treaty Indigenous lands, and that we have the responsibility to learn about the history and ongoing impacts of colonization, and to work collectively to dismantle oppressive systems.

About
About Climate Caucus
Climate Caucus (CC) is a non-partisan network of 250+ elected local leaders working collectively to create and implement policy which aligns with Canada’s fair share of holding global temperature to 1.5°C.
Climate Caucus serves as:
- a meeting place for elected representatives to connect
- a collective force to lobby provincial, territorial and federal government
- a centralised location for municipal climate action & policy throughout Canada
Our network currently includes more than 250 councillors, mayors, and regional directors throughout Canada - and our membership grows daily. We invite elected leaders from rural areas, townships, Indigenous communities and cities of all sizes to join our network.
We engage regularly via our online platform and weekly conferencing. Our content-specific working groups unite NGOs, academia, volunteers and local policymakers to define problems and design solutions.
Local action matters.
Not only are municipalities on the front lines of climate change (floods, droughts, landslides, forest fires, heat waves, water shortages), importantly, we directly influence about half of Canada’s energy use & emissions.
Vision
OUR VISION IS THAT BY 2030, WE’RE A NETWORK OF EQUITABLE, REGENERATIVE, DECARBONIZED AND RESILIENT COMMUNITIES THAT THRIVE IN BALANCE WITH OUR NATURAL SYSTEMS.
